As a native of Beijing, Leejun Taylor (owner of Shanghai April), like so many of us, didn't fully appreciate the art and antique furniture of her native land. However, after a visit to a warehouse of furnishings originally made during the waning years of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), that appreciation blossomed.
While making choices to decorate her own home, she realized there is a lot of history and beauty she could share with other lovers of Chinese art and furniture. As a result of that desire to share, Leejun shipped back a supply of beautiful items, many more than 100 years old. She adds to the inventory on a regular basis, keeping it exciting and fresh.
